Another Noroton Bay project, this house was in a flood zone, so we started by lifting the structure over 3’. The house began as a very simple Cape, typical of the era – a collage of unattractive shed roofs that expanded the second floor plan. We did not change the footprint that much, but concentrated on exterior changes that give it the charm it now has. We call this Darien gem “the little house that could” because it has four generous Bedrooms, three Baths and the Laundry all on the second floor of a 2800 s.f. house.
