This narrow waterfront lot was a design challenge. After looking at the home that used to occupy this lot, it was easy to assume the option was to face the garage doors toward the street. But this parcel also included the rights to a side area that had been visually severed from the property. This space allowed us to design a home that is attractive from both the curb and the water. The steep pitched slope challenged us to create a 6,000 s.f. that did not tower disproportionately over the waterfront and mooring below. This rendering visualized a black roof, windows and trim, and multi-level terraces that made the views of the water and of the home equally appealing.
