This narrow waterfront lot was a challenge. Looking at the home originally occupying this lot, one might have thought the only option was to face the garage doors toward the street. But this parcel also included rights to a side area that had been visually severed from the property. Using it allowed us to design a home that is attractive from the curb, as well as from the water, where the steeply pitched slope challenged us to design 6000sf that would not tower disproportionately over the waterfront and mooring below. This rendering demonstrated that a black roof, windows and trim, and multi-level terraces would make the views from the water just as beautiful as the views of the home.
