Renovating a hundred year old house is always an interesting endeavor. This home was an original Sears Roebuck Foursquare-style home as featured in a 1920’s Sears “Modern Home catalogue”. When purchased by a young couple in 2016, the house was in rough shape, but the waterfront property was fantastic. It features views straight down to Five-Mile River and out to Long Island Sound. RAC pulled these views into the floor plan to offer them to the main living spaces and Master Suite. We opened up the plan while stitching into the existing historic architecture, making sure to preserve the integrity of what was originally built.
