Renovating a 100-year-old house is certainly an interesting endeaver. This home was an original Sears Roebuck foursquare-style home as featured in their 1920’s “Modern Home catalogue”. The home was purchased by a young couple in 2016 and although the house was in rough shape, the waterfront nature gave it fantastic potential. It features views straight down to the Five-Mile River and out to Long Island Sound. RAC pulled these views into the floor plan to ensure they would be seen in main living spaces and the master suite. We opened up the plan while stitching into the existing historic architecture, making sure to preserve the integrity of what was originally built.
