This home was completed in 2002 and was one of the first large scale traditional homes developed by Robert A. Cardello Architects. The one-acre lot was essentially a sliver of land that stretched along the coast. The deconstructed existing house and the new house shared a similar footprint and the main difference was the required elevation of the new home. The plan is very simple – its mission is to offer terrific views from every room. The views of Long Island Sound, also enjoyed from the outdoor living spaces, are beautifully framed by the large peninsulas jetting out from Stamford and Darien. This house takes on a very whimsical feel, which is a direct reflection of the clients taste in both interior decorating and architecture.
