As the studio Design Director, “Ro” thinks outside the box in terms of both creative innovation and value engineering. Throughout the process, Ro is a fierce advocate for her clients who often tend to become lifelong friends. One example of this occurred after receiving and reviewing estimates on a project she was managing years ago. Ro determined that flipping the home’s footprint would save the client almost $1 million on excavation costs – undoubtedly showing her capability to think big on behalf of the client. When you combine her ingenuity with her quick wit and no-nonsense manner, it is no wonder that Ro has earned the firm’s unofficial title of “most likely to be invited for cocktails when the job is over.” Ro is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, where she received a Bachelor of Architecture degree, was the captain of the Women’s Varsity Basketball team and the recipient of the Livonia Chittendon Osborn Stevenson endowed scholarship. She joined Cardello Architects in 2011 and her specialties include: project management; design direction, creative thought, innovation, and conceptual design. Ro’s architectural design skills include AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Rhino, MAYA, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, hand illustrations and model making.
