We were commissioned to design a classic country home for a large 6-acre lot. The finished house spans approximately 17,000 square feet, using natural materials and dark colors to achieve scale and proportion. The interior of the house unfolds, with formal rooms evolving into informal living spaces, creating a comfortable environment that leads to wonderful outdoor entertaining spaces. A walk-out lower floor, along with guest rooms and storage, is easily accessible via an elevator to the third floor. The Westport CT project was inspired by the works of architect Sir Edwin Lutyens (1869-1944).
