This narrow waterfront lot in Rowayton CT presented the Cardello team with some challenges. Our goal was to design a home (complete with a 3-car garage) that was attractive from both the curb and the water. The steep slope of the rocky beach inspired us to develop multiple terraces at varying levels, which helped soften the 3-story height from the mooring below. The transitional, open interior of the 6000 s.f. home is basked in natural light, providing plenty of entertaining spaces for the owners. Expansive sliding doors seamlessly connect the indoor spaces to the outdoor living areas - often enjoyed by this active family.
